Reviews for Thindal Punjabi
Review highlights
Based on 4,453 reviewsThindal Punjabi in Erode is widely appreciated for its authentic Punjabi cuisine and diverse menu, including standout dishes like chicken and seafood specialties. The restaurant features a family-friendly environment with amenities such as a children's play area, banquet hall, and separate dining spaces, making it suitable for group dining. Customers frequently praise the ample parking and pleasant ambiance. Service is generally regarded as efficient and courteous, though some note slower ordering during peak times. While pricing is considered reasonable compared to similar establishments, feedback indicates occasional compromises in food quality during high-demand periods, especially on weekends. Portion sizes are often highlighted as generous, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Parking -- no problems at all. Pricing - on par with the same Punjabi style restaurants. Food -- on weekends because of the high demand, you cannot expect high quality. There is a compromise in food, when there is a high demand which should be addressed. Service -- Service is really good. But on the weekends they don't provide a menu card to choose from as it will take more time to order. You can have access to both indoor and outdoor dining here. With the outdoors you can have food in the garden kinda setup . On weekdays, it is highly recommended. On weekends - think before you go, sometimes go early as quickly as 7:30pm otherwise you won't get any seating.
I liked complete setup of restaurant as they have children play area, banquet hall and separate dining hall along with restaurant. Coming to food all the food which we ordered are superb. Since we went as family we could try lot of dishes like chicken Briyani, non veg curry meals, chicken fried rice, egg friend rice, Japan chicken and chicken 65 (I think, check the pic), all the items are tasty and made it well. It’s a must visit spot for ppl who are travelling on this way. Must try Japan chicken though I love spicy food this had different taste.
We have been punjabi for dinner. Its a famous punjabi around thindal area. We have started with Nandu and Chicken soup. Its typical soup is popular around Erode. It was good in taste. Then we ordered Chicken 65, Tandoori Leg, Prawn Pepper, Chicken Sukka from the starters. All starters were good in taste Then we ordered idly, Roti, Naan and Chicken hyderabadi in the main course. Idly was soft and fluffy. Chicken Hyderabadi was good in taste, spicy too and went well with Roti and Naan. Finally finished with Payasam. They have opendoor dinning area with screen which plays songs to make pleasant for the customers. They have small play area for kids to play and have food! Overall we had a good time!
An Authentic multicuisine family friendly restaurant with wide variety of dishes. Specially mentionable is the japanese chicken. Good portion quantity with efficient service. Amicable for elderly and children
Great food ... Amazing ambience.. Slightly over priced... Ample parking space available.. service could be better.... Ample quantity in every portion ... Order lesser dishes than you'd usually do. .
